Gorakhpur, Aug 18 (SocialNews.XYZ) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday directed senior administrative officials to timely resolution of land disputes and also strict action against revenue officials if they are found negligent in resolving the public issues, warning that officials who fail to ensure rightful access to land could face suspension.
The Chief Minister issued the directive during Janata Darshan at Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur, where he heard the grievances of around 200 people and instructed officials to ensure their complaints were resolved promptly.
During the public interaction, a woman approached the Chief Minister with a complaint that influential people were allegedly preventing her from getting access to a passage and were threatening her by saying that she could complain wherever she wanted, but would not be given the way.
Taking serious note of the complaint, CM Yogi directed senior officials to ensure that the woman's concerns are addressed at the earliest.
“If the lekhpal, kanungo and tehsildar are unable to provide the way, suspend all of them,” the Chief Minister said, according to the statement issued by his office.
CM Yogi also directed senior administrative officials to take strict action wherever negligence or laxity is found at any level in the disposal of land-related cases.
The Chief Minister stressed that negligence or delay in addressing public grievances would not be tolerated. He instructed officials to ensure that land-related complaints are handled with seriousness and resolved in accordance with the law.
The Chief Minister met Gorakhpur residents during the Janata Darshan held at Gorakhnath Temple on Tuesday morning and personally heard their complaints.
The Chief Minister assured the people that they need not remain worried and that the government stands with every person in need. He said that every genuine grievance would be addressed with commitment.
Several other people also raised complaints concerning land matters and alleged negligence by revenue officials. Taking note of the complaints, Adityanath directed the concerned district magistrates to initiate strict action wherever lapses were found.
The Chief Minister also heard requests from people seeking financial assistance for medical treatment. He assured them that the government would provide all possible support. Officials were directed to ensure that every eligible person in need receives an Ayushman card so that they can access treatment without difficulty.
