Prem Keetanu Teaser Veer Pahariya And Aparshakti Khurana Bring Friendship Romance And Campus Chaos To The Big Screen

Prem Keetanu Teaser Veer Pahariya And Aparshakti Khurana Bring Friendship Romance And Campus Chaos To The Big Screen

Veer Pahariya has unveiled the teaser of his upcoming Hindi film Prem Keetanu, giving audiences a first glimpse into a youthful story packed with friendship, romance, confusion and the messy situations that often come with falling in love. Sharing the teaser on social media, Veer summed up the film's spirit with a playful caption, writing, “Dosti ke kisse ho ya pyaar ke lafde… life inke bina adhoori hai.” The film is scheduled to release in cinemas on October 2, 2026.

Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, known for projects such as Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai and Aspirants, Prem Keetanu brings together Veer Pahariya, Aparshakti Khurana, Aafiya Sayed, Rakesh Bedi and Nikhil Vijay. The teaser introduces a world driven by young friendships, romantic complications and the unpredictable chaos that comes when personal ambitions collide with matters of the heart. The combination of comedy and coming-of-age themes gives the film a distinctly youthful flavour.

The film marks producer Gaurav Verma's first independent project under his banner Avanika Films. Verma has previously been associated with several notable films, and Prem Keetanu represents a new chapter in his journey as an independent producer. The project is co-presented by Gaurav Verma and PharsStudios in association with Bhavana Studios, bringing together a creative team that appears keen to deliver an entertaining youth-focused theatrical experience.

Prem Keetanu is also the official Hindi remake of the popular 2024 Malayalam film Premalu. The original became a major favourite among younger audiences with its light-hearted take on relationships, friendship and the awkwardness of navigating adulthood. The Hindi adaptation appears to retain the youthful spirit while bringing the story into a Hindi-speaking setting, with Veer and Aparshakti at the centre of its world.

The teaser promises plenty of lively campus energy, parties, friendships and romantic confusion. Veer Pahariya takes on the central role, while Aparshakti Khurana brings his trademark comic timing to the equation. Aafiya Sayed also plays an important part in the story, completing a young ensemble at the heart of the film. Rakesh Bedi and Nikhil Vijay further add to the cast, suggesting that the film will balance its younger characters with familiar comic and supporting personalities.

The release date adds another interesting dimension to the film's theatrical journey. Prem Keetanu is scheduled to arrive on October 2, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti, a major holiday period that traditionally attracts audiences to cinemas. The date could also make the film part of an interesting box office conversation, with Ajay Devgn's Drishyam 3 also expected around the same period. Whether the two films eventually share the exact same theatrical window remains a point of interest, but the possibility has already sparked discussion among moviegoers.

For Veer Pahariya, the film comes as another opportunity to explore a different side of his screen persona. After entering Bollywood with action-oriented projects, a youthful romantic comedy gives the actor a chance to lean into humour, relationships and everyday situations. Sharing the teaser with the line about friendship and love also suggests that the film is aiming to connect with audiences through its relatable characters rather than relying solely on spectacle.

At its core, Prem Keetanu appears to be built around a simple idea — life would be incomplete without friends, love and all the complications that come with both. With Apoorv Singh Karki at the helm, a young ensemble led by Veer Pahariya and Aparshakti Khurana, and Gaurav Verma stepping into independent production, the film has plenty of ingredients for a fun theatrical outing.

As the countdown begins for October 2, the teaser has opened the door to a world where friendship can turn complicated, romance can become chaotic and growing up rarely goes according to plan. If Prem Keetanu manages to capture the charm that made its Malayalam original a youth favourite while adding its own Hindi flavour, the film could have plenty to offer when it arrives in cinemas on Gandhi Jayanti.
