Jeet on society’s hero-villain labels: People’s attention span is getting lesser

Mumbai, Aug 11 (SocialNews.XYZ) Bengali star Jeet feels society is often too quick to label people as heroes or villains, attributing the tendency to shrinking attention spans and declining focus, while praising Gen Z and younger generations for being “really amazing.”

Jeet’s next is a biographical based on the life of Indian revolutionary Anant Singh titled ‘Keu Bole Biplabi Keu Bole Dakat’, which translates to “Some call him a revolutionary, while others call him a dacoit”.

Asked if he believes society is often too quick to paint people as heroes or villains without understanding their circumstances?

Jeet told IANS: “I think yes, because it has to do with people's attention span. People's attention span is getting lesser by every passing day. Maybe because of that, the focus, the concentration.”

“But today's generation is very smart, I would say. Gen Z and the next generations are really amazing. I deal with them at home, so I know,” he added.

‘Keu Bole Biplabi Keu Bole Dakat’ is a biographical action drama film directed by Pathikrit Basu. The film also stars Tota Roy Chowdhury, Kaushik Sen, Rajatav Dutt, Chandan Sen, Loknath Dey, and Mimi Chakraborty.

Set against the backdrop of 1960s Kolkata, “Keu Bole Biplobi Keu Bole Dakat” follows the mysterious Ananta Singh, an aging figure whose daring robberies of the powerful divide public opinion, hailed by some as a criminal and revered by others as a modern-day revolutionary.

As Inspector Durga Roy launches a relentless pursuit, the story unfolds across shifting timelines, tracing Ananta's journey from a fearless freedom fighter under Masterda Surya Sen during India's independence movement to a disillusioned man who wages a new battle against corruption and injustice.

The 47-year-old actor has a career spanning over two decades and has acted in 57 films. Referred to as the Boss, he is the executive president of West Bengal Motion Picture Artists' Forum.
