Jaipur, Aug 10 (SocialNews.XYZ) Rajasthan Chief Minister, Bhajanlal Sharma, performed the Shila Pujan (stone consecration ceremony) for the special stones selected for crafting the idols of Radha-Krishna at Gupt Vrindavan Dham in Jagatpura, Jaipur.
The ceremony was conducted in accordance with Vedic rituals and accompanied by the chanting of sacred mantras.
The temple president, Amitasana Das, welcomed the Chief Minister. Following the Shila Pujan, Bhajanlal Sharma offered prayers and participated in the Maha-Aarti of Lord Krishna-Balaram Ji.
The Chief Minister said, “Gupt Vrindavan Dham will emerge as a significant centre connecting the new generation with Rajasthan’s spiritual and cultural heritage.”
High-quality, fine-grained white marble from Makrana has been selected for the idol of Radharani. For the idol of Lord Krishna, a special black stone sourced from the ancient quarries of Bhaislana, near Pavta, has been selected. Pandey Murti Bhandar had been searching for stones meeting the required specifications for approximately seven to eight years.
After stones of the desired quality were identified, they were carefully secured at Gupt Vrindavan Dham for crafting the idols of Radha-Shyamsundar Ji. The idol-making process will now commence following the Shila Pujan ceremony. Gupt Vrindavan Dham is being developed by the Hare Krishna Movement, Jaipur, across approximately six acres of land.
The inauguration of the temple is proposed for the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya on May 12, 2027. The centre is being developed with the vision of imparting Sanatan culture, Vedic knowledge, and spiritual values to future generations. The 17-story Gupt Vrindavan Dham will feature a massive arched canopy measuring approximately 180 feet in length and 108 feet in width.
At night, the canopy will serve as a backdrop for showcasing the divine pastimes of the Lord Krishna through state-of-the-art projection mapping. The temple’s main entrance, approximately 70 feet high, will draw inspiration from Rajasthan’s rich architectural and artistic traditions. It will feature artistic depictions of 108 peacocks, highlighting the region’s distinctive craftsmanship. Gupt Vrindavan Dham will bring together spirituality, culture, and modern technology.
The complex will include a vast Darshan hall spanning approximately 25,000 square feet, 14 presentation rooms, an audio-visual theater, and a Vedic museum. The centre is also being developed on the Green Building concept, with a strong emphasis on environmental conservation, sustainability, and greenery. Gupt Vrindavan Dham is expected to add a new dimension to spiritual and cultural tourism in Jaipur and Rajasthan.
Devotees and visitors from across India and around the world will be able to experience India’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage while deepening their connection with the Bhagavad Gita, Vedic culture, Harinam Sankirtan, and devotion to Lord Krishna.
With its blend of traditional architecture, Vedic knowledge, devotional experiences, and modern technology, Gupt Vrindavan Dham is envisioned as a major spiritual and cultural destination for generations to come.
