Shilpa Shinde skips ‘Lock Upp’ success party, receives grand welcome from elderly women at her Karjat shelter home

Mumbai, August 7 (SocialNews.XYZ) Actress Shilpa Shinde received a warm welcome upon returning to her shelter home in Karjat, after her successful stint ‘Lock Upp Season 2’.

The former Bigg Boss 11 winner said the love and support she received made her feel as though she had won the reality show.

Sharing a video from her homecoming on her social media account, Shilpa was seen being welcomed with an ‘aarti’ by elderly women and greeted by well-wishers as they celebrated her return.

Expressing her gratitude, the actress wrote, "Back home after Lock Upp.. Itna saara pyaar aur support dekh kar aisa lag raha hai jaise main hi winner ban gayi hoon!! Dil se thank you, everyone!"

The emotional post comes weeks after Shilpa made one of the most personal revelations of Lock Upp Season 2.

During the reality show, the actress had opened up about her disturbed relationship with her family, claiming she was forced to leave her Mumbai home just days after undergoing shoulder surgery.

Shilpa revealed that although she has a family, she often feels like an orphan because of the estrangement.

She alleged that circumstances created by differences with her younger brother and his wife eventually affected her relationship with her mother as well. According to the actress, her self-respect made her leave the house late at night.

Shilpa had further shared that she has almost shifted out of Mumbai, adding that she now considers Karjat her primary home,

The actress also disclosed that she has not met her mother for a long time, and that she has not visited her in Karjat despite her requests.

On another note, Lock Upp host and filmmaker had hosted a lavish success party for the inmates of the reality show post it's finale.

Shilpa Shinde was seen missing from the entire celebration.
