‘Ghajini’ Villain Pradeep Rawat Passes Away at 74 After Battle With Cancer; Film Industry Mourns Veteran Actor

He was initially admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai before being shifted to a cancer hospital in Bhiwandi, where he breathed his last. He is survived by his wife, Kalyani Rawat, and their son, Vikramaditya Rawat.

Actor Yashpal Sharma, who shared screen space with Rawat in the Oscar-nominated classic Lagaan, remembered his longtime friend with an emotional message. Sharing a tribute, he wrote, "Pradeep Rawat, Our Ghajini Deva of Lagaan. RIP." Veteran actor Gajendra Chauhan also paid his respects, writing, "Om Shanti Om Shanti. Our friend and colleague Pradeep Rawat, who played Ashwathama in Mahabharat, passed away."
