Randeep Hooda Appeals for Assam Flood Relief, Urges Fans to Support Families Affected by the Disaster

Actor Randeep Hooda has stepped forward to raise awareness about the ongoing flood crisis in Assam, urging people to contribute towards relief efforts for thousands of affected families. Taking to X, the actor shared a heartfelt video appeal encouraging donations and support for those struggling in the aftermath of the devastating floods. Alongside the video, Hooda wrote, "Assam is battling devastating floods, leaving countless families in urgent need of support. Every contribution can help provide relief, food, shelter and essential supplies to those affected. Let us come together and help the people of Assam through this crisis. The video highlights the urgent humanitarian needs of flood-hit communities and directs viewers to contribute through a QR code associated with The Global Sikhs, an organization involved in relief efforts. Randeep's message emphasizes that even small contributions can make a meaningful difference by helping provide food, temporary shelter, medical assistance, and other essential supplies to families displaced by the disaster.

Assam has witnessed severe flooding during the 2026 monsoon season, with the worst impact reported across Upper Assam districts including Sivasagar, Charaideo, and Jorhat. At the peak of the crisis, the floods affected more than one lakh people, disrupting daily life, damaging homes, roads, and agricultural land, while the death toll crossed 80. Although water levels have begun to recede in several areas, the recovery process remains a significant challenge for thousands of residents.

In response to the disaster, the Assam government has announced financial assistance through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), providing ₹15,000 per affected family along with additional relief measures. Authorities continue to focus on rehabilitation, restoring damaged infrastructure, and supporting farmers whose livelihoods have been severely impacted by the floods. Relief agencies and volunteers are also working on the ground to distribute essential supplies and assist affected communities.

Randeep Hooda has often used his social media platforms to support humanitarian and environmental causes, and his latest appeal reflects that continued commitment. By partnering with The Global Sikhs and encouraging public participation, the actor hopes to amplify relief efforts and inspire more people to contribute during this critical phase of recovery.

As Assam continues its long road to rebuilding, appeals like Randeep Hooda's serve as an important reminder that collective action can make a real difference. With rehabilitation efforts still underway and many families in need of sustained support, every donation has the potential to provide hope, comfort, and essential assistance to those working to rebuild their lives after one of the state's most challenging flood seasons.
