‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ Drops First Anthem ‘Do Numbari’; Trailer Set for August 11

'Mirzapur: The Movie' Drops First Anthem 'Do Numbari'; Trailer Set for August 11

The world of Mirzapur is getting louder, grittier, and bigger as Excel Entertainment has unveiled the first song from Mirzapur: The Movie. Titled Do Numbari, the high-energy anthem sets the tone for the much-awaited big-screen adaptation of the hit crime franchise. Sharing the song across social media, the makers wrote, "Bande #1 number ke dhandhe #DoNumbari. #DoNumbari - Song out now on all streaming platforms. Tune in now! #MirzapurTheMovie Trailer out on 11th August." The announcement officially kickstarts the film's music campaign while building anticipation for the trailer launch next week.

The title Do Numbari perfectly captures the ruthless, lawless world that has made Mirzapur a fan favorite. The phrase, "Bande #1 number ke dhandhe #DoNumbari," cleverly reflects the franchise's morally grey characters, criminal empires, and power struggles. The pulsating track is performed, composed, and written by Dhanda Nyoliwala (Parveen), with music production by Shevv. Directed by Shujaat Saudagar, the music video embraces the raw and gritty aesthetic synonymous with the Mirzapur universe.

The makers also revealed an extensive list of credits behind the anthem. The music video is backed by executive producers Nishant Pandey, Arif Mir, Vishal Bajaj, and Pratik More, with cinematography by Abhinay Pandit, editing by Mehran, and production design by Abhijit Gaonkar and Sonam Singh. The visual presentation is further enhanced by costume stylist Zeeba Miraie, stunt director Mehmood Khan, art director Kiran Lokhande, and a talented production team that brings the song's high-octane energy to life.

Alongside the song release, Excel Entertainment tagged the film's powerhouse ensemble cast, including Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu, Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Gaur, Sushant Singh, Mohit Malik, Sheeba Chaddha, Rajesh Tailang, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Anjum Sharma, Sonal Chauhan, Pramod Pathak, and Anangsha Biswas. The announcement serves as another reminder that many beloved characters from the acclaimed streaming series are making the leap to the big screen.

Directed by Gurmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, Mirzapur: The Movie is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment. Based on the hugely successful Mirzapur web series that debuted in 2018, the film expands the franchise into a theatrical spectacle while retaining its signature blend of crime, politics, revenge, and dark humor. Fans are eager to see how the beloved characters evolve in a cinematic format after years of dominating the OTT space.

With Do Numbari now streaming across music platforms and the official trailer arriving on August 11, 2026, the countdown to Mirzapur: The Movie has officially begun. If the first anthem is any indication, audiences can expect the same unapologetically gritty atmosphere, larger-than-life characters, and explosive action that turned Mirzapur into one of India's most celebrated crime franchises. The move from streaming to cinemas promises to raise the stakes, making this one of the most anticipated Hindi releases on the horizon.
