New Delhi, Aug 1 (SocialNews.XYZ) Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra said on Saturday hit out at AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal for making baseless statements on technical issues, including E20 fuel, despite being an IIT graduate.
“Since 2010, the country has been hearing Arvind Kejriwal repeatedly claim to be an IIT graduate. However, his statements not only on E20 but also on several technical issues make it appear that he has not even received an ITI-level education,” said Malhotra.
Kejriwal’s Town Hall speech on Saturday on the E20 issue has once again raised serious questions about his claimed educational qualifications.
The Delhi BJP President said that Kejriwal seems determined to spread misinformation regarding E20 or ethanol-blended petrol.
Malhotra reiterated his earlier challenge, saying that in a country with crores of vehicles, Kejriwal should produce even 100 vehicles that have actually suffered damage or engine failure because of E20 fuel.
Malhotra said that instead of indulging in political propaganda, if Kejriwal had conducted a Google search, he would have learned that with the increased use of E20 fuel, Delhi's air quality alone has improved by nearly 30 per cent.
He added that Kejriwal also fails to understand that India spends more than Rs 16 lakh crore annually in foreign exchange on fuel imports. According to NITI Aayog estimates, the increased use of ethanol is expected to save nearly Rs 1 lakh crore in foreign exchange in the very first year.
Malhotra stated that the increased use of ethanol will also raise the income of sugarcane farmers by around Rs 50,000 crore.
The Delhi BJP President said that had Kejriwal truly been educated at IIT, he would never have opposed ethanol-blended petrol, which contributes to national economic savings, enhances farmers' income, and provides cleaner air to citizens.
