Srinagar, July 22 (SocialNews.XYZ) Jammu and Kashmir Crime Branch said on Wednesday that it has presented the charge sheet in court against the accused in the airport job scam case.
A Crime Branch Kashmir statement said, “The Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Kashmir, of Crime Branch J&K has filed a charge-sheet before the Hon'ble Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar, in connection with FIR No. 36/2018 registered under Sections 420, 120-B RPC read with Section 66(D) of the Information Technology Act."
The charge sheet was filed against four accused persons for their alleged involvement in a job fraud racket. Of the four accused, three are Delhi residents and one is from Uttar Pradesh.
The accused persons have been identified as: Mohit Sharma alias Bhardwaj, son of Subash Chand Sharma, resident of 96-B, Baraula, Sector-49, near Government Primary School, Noida, Uttar Pradesh; Mukesh Kumar, son of Harday Ram, resident of police station Sadar Thana Road, Bara Tooti, New Delhi; Mehmood Khan, son of Wakeel Khan, resident of H. No. 95, Hadoo Mohalla, H-Block, Madanpur Khadar, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi; Ram Lakhan, son of Ram Milan, resident of H. No. 2862/I-B, Singharas Nash, Karim Paharang, Tehsil Dumariyaganj, New Delhi.
The case pertains to complaints received from several districts of the Kashmir Valley, alleging that the accused duped unsuspecting job seekers of lakhs of rupees on the false promise of securing employment in the Airports Authority of India.
Following a thorough investigation, the allegations were established, and the case has been charge-sheeted in a court of law, said the Crime Branch Kashmir in the statement.
The Crime Branch has advised the public to remain vigilant against such economic frauds and report any suspicious activities to the SSP, EOW Kashmir.
"Victims may also lodge complaints through email at sspeow-kmr@jkpolice.gov.in," the statement mentioned.
Crime Branch is a wing of J&K Police deployed to investigate special crimes that have financial or economic implications.
