Jaipur, July 20 (SocialNews.XYZ) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has appealed to the public to remain vigilant against cyber fraud and adopt safe digital practices.
He urged citizens not to click on suspicious links or share OTPs, bank account details, passwords, or other confidential information with anyone. He also cautioned people against falling prey to fraudulent calls, messages, and online scams.
Sharma, speaking on Monday while unveiling the poster for the Cyber Security Campaign, said that while the digital revolution has made life simpler and more convenient, it has also given rise to new challenges, particularly cybercrime.
He asserted that the state government is taking stringent action against cybercriminals and is conducting comprehensive campaigns across Rajasthan to identify offenders, dismantle their networks, and bring them to justice.
The Chief Minister said the state government is continuously strengthening its efforts to combat cybercrime through innovative initiatives.
He noted that the Rajasthan Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (R4C) is developing a state-of-the-art platform to enhance cybercrime prevention, investigation, technical coordination, and the rapid exchange of information among enforcement agencies.
He added that prompt assistance is being provided to victims of cyber fraud through the National Cyber Crime Helpline (1930) and initiatives such as Operation Antivirus, enabling faster reporting and response.
Appealing to the public to remain vigilant, Sharma reiterated that citizens should not click on suspicious links or share OTPs, bank account details, passwords, or other confidential information with anyone.
He also advised people not to fall victim to fraudulent calls, messages, or online scams.
He said that anyone who becomes a victim of cyber fraud should immediately call the National Cyber Crime Helpline (1930) or lodge a complaint on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment, Sharma said ensuring the financial and digital security of citizens and building a safe digital ecosystem remain among the state government’s highest priorities.
