Self-styled godman Nithyananda claims Kailasa delegation met TN ministers; state govt calls it misleading

Chennai, July 18 (SocialNews.XYZ) Self-styled godman Nithyananda has sparked fresh political controversy after claiming that representatives of his self-proclaimed nation, the “United States of Kailasa,” held an official meeting with three Tamil Nadu ministers to discuss diplomatic relations.

The claim, accompanied by photographs, has been categorically denied by the Tamil Nadu government.

Nithyananda, who is wanted by Indian law enforcement agencies and is believed to be living abroad after fleeing the country, made the claim in a post published on July 16 through Kailasa’s official communication channels.

According to the post, delegates from Kailasa met Tamil Nadu ministers at the State Secretariat in Chennai and held discussions on diplomatic engagement between the self-declared nation and the state government.

The post identified the ministers as TVK leaders Lokesh, Srinath and Vanni Arasu, and stated that the meeting focused on strengthening ties with Kailasa. It also claimed that the delegation presented two books authored by Nithyananda—United States of Kailasa and History of Kailasa—to the ministers.

According to the statement, the books explain the vision behind Kailasa and highlight the importance of reviving and protecting Sanatana Dharma. The post also included photographs showing Kailasa representatives presenting the books to the ministers and posing for pictures, creating the impression that the interaction was an official government engagement.

The images quickly went viral on social media, triggering political debate and raising questions about whether Tamil Nadu ministers had formally interacted with representatives of Nithyananda’s organisation.

However, officials at the Tamil Nadu Secretariat strongly rejected the claim. Responding to media queries, government sources clarified that no official meeting or diplomatic discussion with representatives of Kailasa had taken place.

Officials explained that ministers routinely meet members of the public, social organisations, and various visitors who come to the Secretariat to submit petitions, memoranda or publications. According to the government, the individuals seen in the photographs were among such visitors and simply presented books to the ministers before taking photographs.

Beyond that brief interaction, officials said, no official discussions or diplomatic talks were held.

Government sources further described Nithyananda’s portrayal of the event as misleading, stating that the social media post falsely represented a routine public interaction as an official government meeting.

The latest controversy comes just weeks after Nithyananda publicly congratulated actor-turned-politician Vijay following his party’s performance in the recent Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

With this latest claim drawing widespread attention, the self-proclaimed nation of Kailasa and its controversial founder have once again found themselves at the centre of political debate.
