Vice President CP Radhakrishnan arrives in Gaya for Bihar MLAs' training programme

Patna, July 11 (SocialNews.XYZ) Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan arrived in Gaya on Saturday to attend a two-day orientation and training programme for Members of the Bihar Legislative Assembly (MLAs).

The programme is being organised following the constitution of the 18th Bihar Legislative Assembly.

 

On his arrival, the Vice President was accorded a warm welcome by senior dignitaries, including Bihar Governor Syed Ata Hasnain, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Bihar Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr Prem Kumar, and other senior leaders.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, the Vice President said, “My heartfelt thanks for the warm welcome accorded to me on my arrival at Gaya, Bihar, by Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd) Syed Ata Hasnain, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly Dr Prem Kumar, and other dignitaries.”

The two-day training camp, scheduled for July 11 and 12, is being held at the BIPARD campus in Gaya.

All members of the Bihar Legislative Assembly are expected to participate in the programme, which aims to familiarise both newly elected and returning legislators with parliamentary conventions and legislative practices, Assembly rules and procedures, legislative responsibilities and conduct, and effective participation in House proceedings.

The programme is intended to strengthen the functioning of the Assembly by enhancing legislators' understanding of parliamentary processes.

The district administration has made elaborate arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.

Measures include deployment of additional security personnel, comprehensive traffic management plans, enhanced law and order arrangements, and establishment of a temporary police station near the BIPARD campus to respond promptly to any emergency.

Ahead of the programme, Gaya City DSP Dharmendra Bharti inspected the venue and reviewed preparations related to security deployment, VIP movement, venue management, and coordination among various government departments.

Officials said all necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure the training programme is conducted smoothly and securely.
