Angre Film To Bring Untold Story Of Maratha Naval Hero Kanhoji Angre To Life

Indian cinema is set to explore the incredible legacy of one of the country's greatest maritime warriors with the upcoming biopic Angre. Abundantia Entertainment, led by Vikram Malhotra, has joined hands with National Award-winning filmmaker Rajesh Mapuskar to bring the untold story of Sarkhel Kanhoji Angre, the undefeated admiral of the Maratha Navy, to the big screen.

Titled Angre, the ambitious project will focus on the extraordinary journey of Kanhoji Angre, a legendary 17th and 18th-century naval commander who built a powerful maritime force along the Konkan coast. Known for his strategic brilliance and fearless leadership, he successfully challenged European colonial fleets and established the dominance of the Maratha Navy during a crucial period in Indian history.

The film marks another collaboration between Abundantia Entertainment and Rajesh Mapuskar after their upcoming project Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal. Abundantia will produce Angre in association with Mapuskar's Magij Pictures, bringing together a team known for creating content-driven and visually engaging cinema.
