Anjali Anand Recalls Making Director Indra Kumar Emotional on 'Dhamaal 4' Sets: "I Think I Actually Made Him Cry"

Actress Anjali Anand is gearing up for the release of the much-awaited comedy entertainer Dhamaal 4, and if her latest revelations are anything to go by, the film has been as emotionally rewarding behind the scenes as it has been entertaining to shoot. During a recent media interaction, the actress opened up about her experience working on the fourth installment of the popular franchise and shared a heartfelt memory involving director Indra Kumar that she says she will cherish forever.

Speaking about being a part of the beloved comedy franchise, Anjali couldn't hide her excitement. She said, "It’s been an absolute blast working on Dhamaal. I’m having so much fun. When something this wonderful happens and you truly enjoy it—well, I think there’s no feeling quite like it."

When asked about the most memorable moment from the film—whether it was the casting process, shooting, or promotions—Anjali shared an emotional story that reflected the trust her director placed in her and the satisfaction that came with proving herself.

She recalled, "I think there was a particular scene I did. The best part about this film is that Indu-ji had no idea I was acting or even present in the industry; he simply saw my photo and chose me. Initially, when he saw me on set, he probably just thought, 'Let's see if this girl can act.' But when he actually saw me perform and realized I could act, I could see that look of pleasant surprise in his eyes. And...I remember that by the end of the film, I think I actually made him cry during one of the scenes. It’s hard to put into words, but I think he had tears in his eyes because he was so proud and deeply moved by the scene. That is something I will always cherish."

The actress's candid admission offers a rare glimpse into the bond that developed between her and Indra Kumar during the making of the film. While Dhamaal is known for its laughter-filled moments and comic chaos, Anjali's experience suggests that the film also has emotionally powerful scenes that left a lasting impression on the cast and crew.

For Anjali, being selected for the project without a formal audition made the journey even more special. Knowing that Indra Kumar cast her solely on the basis of her photograph, and then earning his appreciation through her performance, is a milestone she clearly holds close to her heart. Her story is a reminder that faith from a filmmaker, combined with hard work, can create unforgettable moments on set.

Directed by Indra Kumar, Dhamaal 4 is the latest chapter in one of Bollywood's most successful comedy franchises. The adventure comedy is jointly produced by T-Series Films, Panorama Studios, Devgn Films, and Maruti International. It serves as the direct sequel to Dhamaal, Double Dhamaal, and Total Dhamaal.

The film boasts a star-studded ensemble featuring Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaaferi, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Upendra Limaye, Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Esha Gupta, and Vijay Patkar.

With the film slated to hit theatres on July 10, 2026, audiences are eagerly waiting to see what the latest installment has in store. And if Anjali Anand's emotional recollection is any indication, Dhamaal 4 may offer more than just laughs—it could also deliver moments that leave a lasting impact.
