
Jaipur, July 2 (SocialNews.XYZ) Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism, Art and Culture Minister Diya Kumari on Thursday chaired a review meeting of the Tourism, Art and Culture Department at Paryatan Bhawan, where she assessed the progress of key projects and reviewed preparations for the celebrations marking 300 years since the founding of Jaipur.
The meeting was attended by Government Secretary Shuchi Tyagi, Tourism Commissioner Rukmani Riar, and other senior departmental officials.
Reviewing preparations for Jaipur's tricentennial celebrations, Diya Kumari said the city's 300th foundation anniversary presents a unique opportunity to strengthen its heritage branding and showcase Rajasthan on the global stage.
She added that by integrating Jaipur's rich heritage with the state's legacy of valour, faith, heritage tourism, art, and culture, Rajasthan can be promoted as a premier international tourism destination.
She issued necessary directions to ensure the celebrations are planned and executed effectively.
The Deputy Chief Minister reviewed proposals to develop Jawahar Kala Kendra and Shilpgram into world-class centres for art and culture.
Discussions were also held on matters related to Ravindra Manch.
She also reviewed several ongoing tourism and infrastructure initiatives, including development of the Tanot Mata Temple complex in coordination with the Border Security Force (BSF), the Pushkar Development Project, media buying and promotional campaigns for tourism and the Amer Light and Sound Show.
Officials briefed the Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari on the progress of the department's tourism app, the Maharana Pratap Circuit, international promotion through the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), and the proposed museum in Jaipur's Walled City.
The meeting also reviewed the shooting schedule for the Tourism Department's creative campaigns, renovation of the Albert Hall Museum, implementation of the Amer Master Plan, and the progress of the Jhunjhunu War Museum.
Diya Kumari directed officials to ensure that all tourism and cultural projects are completed within stipulated timelines so that they contribute effectively to strengthening Rajasthan's tourism infrastructure and global appeal.
