Mumbai, June 30 (SocialNews.XYZ) Veteran actress Neena Gupta, had once opened up about Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan's unwavering professionalism, and recalled how he had continued shooting for 'Uunchai' despite suffering from a high fever in scorching summer heat.
In an old video from the sets of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati', where Neena had appeared alongside her 'Uunchai' co-stars Anupam Kher and Boman Irani for a special episode, the actress shared an incident that left a lasting impression on her.
Addressing Amitabh Bachchan, Neena said she had learnt a lot rom her fellow actors, especially him.
Recalling the incident, she shared, "There was one day during the shoot when I was standing in the shade, while Amit ji, Anupam ji and Boman were filming a sequence under the harsh afternoon sun in the fields in Delhi. Amitabh (ji) completed the scene very comfortably. Only later did someone tell me that he had a fever. I realised that is a very big thing."
Neena went on to reveal that the incident changed her own approach towards work.
"A few days later, I had a night shoot. I had a bad cough and was constantly complaining. I was even thinking of asking the director to let me leave. But then I remembered Amit ji standing in that scorching heat despite having a fever. I told myself, 'If he can do it, then you should quietly do your work too.' This is commitment," she said.
Responding with his trademark sense of humour, Amitabh Bachchan was seen saying, “It's our job. What all we have to do to keep it intact.”
Neena also praised Anupam Kher for being a constant source of positivity on the sets.
She said that he has the rare ability to lift the spirits of everyone around him and added that he never likes to see anyone feeling low, and is always ready to uplift loe moods and morale of people.
Talking about the movie, 'Uunchai' , it was directed by Sooraj Barjatya, and released in 2022.
The movie starred Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta, Sarika, Parineeti Chopra and Danny Denzongpa.
As The storyline, the film revolved around three elderly friends who embark on a trek to the Everest Base Camp to fulfil the last wish of their deceased companion.
Talking about Amitabh Bachchan and his commitment to his craft, even at the age of 83, the megastar continues to remain one of the busiest actors in the industry and is seen shooting for his work commitments irrespective of the time and number of hours.
The actor has been a part of the industry for over 60 years now.
Currently, apart from his film commitments, the legendary star is set to return as the host of his iconic quiz show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati', with the new season expected to premiere soon.
