Chennai, June 26 (SocialNews.XYZ) Director Ram Sangaiah's next film, 'Per Sollum Pillai', featuring actor Kavin in the lead, went on the floors with a grand pooja ceremony here in the city on Friday.
The launch event, held in Chennai, was attended by the film’s cast and crew along with several distinguished guests from the Tamil film industry, including producer Kalaippuli S. Thanu, director-writer-actor Tamizh, director Thiagarajan Kumararaja, and director Andrew Louis.
During the event, Kalaippuli S. Thanu ceremonially gave the first clap and officially inaugurated the film’s shooting.
Actor Kavin, who is fast emerging as a star in the Tamil film industry, will be seen playing the lead along with actress Sanjana Krishnamoorthy.
Taking to his X timeline to thank actor Kamal Haasan, whose film by the same title had emerged a superhit several years ago, Kavin wrote, "It is an absolute honour that my next film carries the title #PerSollumPillai 🙂 My heartfelt thanks to @ikamalhaasan Sir. Directed by filmmaker Ram Sangaiah, who is best known for having directed the Tamil film 'Thandatti', 'Per Sollum Pillai' boasts of a strong technical crew.
Cinematography for the film will be by Vetrimaran's trusted cameraman, R. Velraj, who is also a director himself. Music for the film is to be scored by one of the most sought after music directors in the industry, Justin Prabhakaran. Editing for the film is to be handled by G. Madan and art direction is to be headed by M. Kathiravan Mathi.
Sources close to the unit of the film say that the story of the film will be set against a rural backdrop and packed with entertaining elements.
The film is being produced by S. Lakshman Kumar under the banner of Prince Pictures, with A. Venkatesh as the co-producer.
