Amaravati, June 22 (SocialNews.XYZ) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday asked officials to remain vigilant about conspiracies by some political parties in the state.
He alleged that certain parties are attempting to politicise every issue by giving caste or religious colour to incidents and turning them into controversies.
At a meeting at the Real Time Government Society (RTGS) Centre at the State Secretariat to review the functioning of various departments, the Chief Minister said these parties are trying to tarnish the reputations of employees and officials through false propaganda and malicious campaigns against the government.
CM Naidu emphasised that employees and officials must act proactively to curb false propaganda and incidents that incite hatred. He noted that some crimes were committed recently due to mental health issues, while others were linked to addiction to drugs and marijuana.
He said the government is resolving old cases. “Crimes committed in 2019 are now being traced, and the perpetrators apprehended, leading to convictions. It is essential to communicate these facts to the public; those who commit wrongdoings cannot escape justice,” he stated.
The Chief Minister called for strict adherence to regulations regarding vehicle number plates, stressing that they must be installed according to prescribed standards.
He also underlined the need for establishing a quantum ark and a semiconductor park, noting that a Quantum Computer is scheduled to be launched in December.
“Priority must be given to increasing greenery, maintaining cleanliness, ensuring water security, recharging groundwater, conserving water resources, and protecting river waters from pollution,” Naidu said.
He directed officials to resolve petitions received from the public, including those under the Public Grievances System (PGRS), with a humane approach. He emphasised the importance of cultivating soft skills among employees and officials.
“We will encourage employees to think innovatively and assign responsibilities based on performance. They must focus on resolving grievances by putting themselves in the petitioners’ shoes. Officials and employees should interact courteously with citizens who approach them to resolve issues; this fosters a positive public perception of the administration,” he added.
Naidu stressed that human resources must be utilised effectively. He said employees need to continuously enhance their administrative capabilities and adapt their work methods to changing times. Decisions aligned with ground realities can only be made through field visits, and ministers, officials and employees must prioritise such visits.
He noted that Andhra Pradesh requires a robust human resource system. “We have provided training to employees and officials on administrative reforms. In the past, clearing files was a massive task, but the advent of technology has made it much easier. Without innovative thinking, systems will stagnate and become ineffective,” he remarked.
Chief Secretary Sai Prasad, DGP Harish Kumar Gupta and senior officials from various departments participated in the meeting.
