‘Bandhu 2.0’ Is Here: Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna Bring Back a Cocktail Classic

Maddock Films has officially released Bandhu 2.0, reviving one of Bollywood's most beloved party anthems ahead of the release of Cocktail 2. Sharing the track on social media, the makers wrote, “We can’t let a good thing go. #TrollAway #Bandhu2.0 Song Out Now!” The song arrives just days before the film's theatrical release on June 19, 2026, and is already generating buzz among fans of the original Cocktail.

A refreshed version of the iconic 2012 hit Tum Hi Ho Bandhu, the new track features lead stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna. Packed with vibrant visuals, energetic choreography, and the carefree spirit that made the original song a fan favorite, Bandhu 2.0 aims to introduce the classic tune to a new generation while tapping into nostalgia for longtime Bollywood lovers.

The recreated track retains the musical magic of composer Pritam, with vocals by Neeraj Shridhar and Kavita Seth adding a familiar yet fresh charm. The song originally appeared in Cocktail (2012), starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty, and went on to become one of the defining Bollywood party tracks of its era.

Directed by Homi Adajania, Cocktail 2 is a spiritual sequel to the 2012 blockbuster and revolves around a complicated love triangle. The story follows a decade-long relationship that is thrown into turmoil when an old friend unexpectedly re-enters the picture, setting off a chain of emotional and humorous events. The film is written by Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Luv Ranjan, and Ankur Garg under Maddock Films and Luv Films.
