Jaisalmer, June 9 (SocialNews.XYZ) A 22-year-old youth was allegedly abducted, brutally assaulted and killed in a shocking incident reported from the Khuhdi police station area of Jaisalmer district on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Mahavir Singh, son of Gordhan Singh and a resident of Myajlar village.
According to police and eyewitness accounts, Mahavir Singh and his companion were travelling on a motorcycle when several vehicles allegedly rammed into their bike near Asloi village at around 3 pm. Following the collision, both men were abducted and taken away in a Camper vehicle.
One of the victims was released shortly afterwards, while Mahavir Singh was reportedly assaulted inside the moving vehicle with sticks and clubs. The accused later dumped him near Soda village while he was critically injured and fled the scene. Local villagers found the youth lying on the roadside and rushed him to Jaisalmer District Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
A CCTV video purportedly showing the victim being thrown from the vehicle has surfaced and is being examined as part of the investigation. Bhopal Singh, who was travelling with the deceased, told police that three Camper vehicles approached from behind and struck their motorcycle, causing both riders to fall before they were forcibly taken away.
Villagers who reached the scene stated that the injured youth was conscious and in severe pain when they found him. He reportedly identified himself before being transported to the hospital.
Following the incident, a heavy police deployment was made at Jaisalmer District Hospital. The body was shifted to the mortuary for post-mortem examination. Family members of the deceased later gathered at the hospital and demanded immediate action against those responsible. The victim’s father, Gordhan Singh, alleged that around 15 individuals were involved in the murder.
Jaisalmer Superintendent of Police Abhishek Shivhare visited the hospital and reviewed the case. He said police teams have been constituted to trace the accused, and checkpoints have been established across the district.
Efforts are underway to apprehend those involved in the crime. Police have registered a case, and further investigation is in progress.
