Bhopal, May 27 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Madhya Pradesh State Waqf Board on Wednesday issued detailed guidelines for Eid-ul-Adha celebrations across the state, directing all Waqf Mutawallis and management committees to ensure strict compliance with government instructions related to Qurbani, sanitation and public order.
The Board said around 15,000 Waqf properties are registered in Madhya Pradesh, including mosques, graveyards, dargahs-mazars, Eidgahs, qabristans and madrasa-schools, where Eid-ul-Adha-related activities are organised every year.
Issuing the advisory, Madhya Pradesh State Waqf Board Chairman Sanwar Patel said all instructions issued by district collectors and district magistrates regarding Eid-ul-Adha celebrations must be followed in letter and spirit.
“The purpose of these guidelines is to ensure that Eid-ul-Adha is celebrated peacefully, hygienically and in accordance with government rules. All Waqf committees and Mutawallis should cooperate fully with the local administration,” Patel said.
According to an official statement, places designated for Qurbani should be properly enclosed from all sides using walls or tin sheets, while special attention must be paid to cleanliness and sanitation arrangements. The Board described cleanliness during the festival as a “religious and moral responsibility”.
The statement further said that Qurbani should be performed only at designated locations and the sites must be properly cleaned after completion of the ritual.
Waste material from sacrificed animals should be disposed of only in containers arranged by municipal corporations or municipalities, or at officially designated locations.
The Waqf Board also directed that the sacrifice of prohibited animals must not be carried out under any circumstances and all government orders should be strictly complied with during the festival.
Appealing for social harmony, the Chairman urged people to act responsibly on digital platforms.
“Videos or audio recordings of Qurbani should not be made viral on social media. People should maintain mutual respect and sensitivity so that the festival is celebrated in a peaceful atmosphere,” Patel said.
Regarding Eid prayers, the Board instructed that Namaz should be offered only in Eidgahs and mosque premises, and unnecessary offering of prayers on roads should be avoided.
However, if unavoidable circumstances arise, prayers may be organised with the permission and cooperation of the local administration, the statement added.
