Shilpa Shetty and Arpita Khan Sharma Join Hands for Green Cause at Bhamla Foundation's Mega Tree Plantation Drive in Mumbai

Bollywood wellness icon Shilpa Shetty stepped out for a meaningful environmental initiative as she attended the grand Tree Plantation Drive hosted by the Bhamla Foundation on May 25, 2026, at D Y Patil International School in Worli, Mumbai. The campaign, aimed at promoting sustainability and climate awareness, also brought together several prominent personalities from entertainment, politics, and sports.

The initiative serves as a major lead-up event for World Environment Day 2026, acting as a symbolic flag-off for a massive green mission. As part of the larger ecological commitment, the foundation aims to plant 10,000 saplings across Mumbai, reinforcing the urgent message of environmental responsibility under the global theme #NowForClimate.

Adding more star power and social impact to the event was Arpita Khan Sharma, who joined the plantation drive and actively participated in the green initiative. Her presence alongside Shilpa Shetty highlighted the growing involvement of Bollywood families and influencers in environmental causes that focus on long-term sustainability rather than symbolic participation.

The event also saw the presence of Maharashtra Cabinet Minister for Environment & Climate Change Pankaja Munde, along with Indian cricketer Humairaa Kaazi, making the drive a powerful blend of cinema, governance, and sports united for a common environmental mission. Together, the guests symbolically planted saplings, encouraging citizens to take active steps toward protecting the planet.

Shilpa Shetty, known for her strong advocacy for fitness, wellness, and holistic living, emphasized the importance of connecting environmental health with personal well-being. Her participation added visibility and momentum to the campaign, inspiring attendees to adopt greener habits in their daily lives.

The Tree Plantation Drive stood out not just as a celebrity event but as a serious ecological initiative with a clear message—urban development must go hand in hand with environmental preservation. With Mumbai aiming to increase its green cover, such large-scale plantation efforts are becoming increasingly crucial in combating pollution and climate change.

With influential names like Shilpa Shetty and Arpita Khan Sharma supporting the cause, the Bhamla Foundation’s initiative has successfully turned environmental awareness into a mainstream conversation, blending celebrity influence with meaningful action for a greener future.
