During the event, Jaaved Jaaferi spoke candidly about the role of wealth and responsibility in shaping the world. He said: "I think it is a very interesting initiative because, at the end of the day, we all know that money makes the world go around. It truly does—whether in a good way or a bad way is a matter of choice. The people who possess the money—the billionaires, the corporations—if they have the right spirit, they can make a significant difference, a huge difference. But sadly, a certain kind of greed often gets in the way. So, hopefully, this gathering represents those billionaires who have not succumbed to greed and are instead looking for a solution—for this planet, for this world, and for its people."
In another interaction, when asked about global tensions and India’s role in the current geopolitical climate, Jaaved offered a broader perspective on international conflicts and the need for unity. He stated: "Look, problems exist everywhere; they are not unique to India. For instance, if you look at the Middle East—that is where the most significant problems are concentrated. There are immense difficulties in Africa—in Sudan, in Yemen. But the Middle East, in particular, is a region we are watching closely; similar situations have arisen in places like Venezuela. These issues are unfolding across the globe. In many regions, political power is being misused. Therefore, our sincere hope—and indeed the very objective of this Conclave—is that people will come together. If we can steer this movement in the right direction—towards love, compassion, and reconciliation—then I believe that is precisely what this initiative aims to achieve."
The discussion also turned toward India’s internal diversity and leadership, where Jaaved reflected on governance, unity, and social harmony. In reference to Prime Minister Narendra Modi receiving the Agricola Medal during a diplomatic tour, he said: "Well, receiving an award is one thing, but witnessing tangible progress on the ground is quite another. So, while it is certainly a wonderful development—and the Prime Minister is indeed working hard and accomplishing a great deal—I feel that the situation within our own country remains quite complex. With such a multitude of religions and related factors, the situation is fraught with complexities. There are diverse cultures and languages. Consequently, the task of bringing all these elements together and moving forward collectively is an extremely challenging one. Our earnest prayer and hope is that hatred may dissipate, and that people may come to understand the language of love—that we may conduct ourselves with affection and harmony, and focus our gaze upon progress. The reality is that, somewhere along the line, religion tends to create rifts; politics, in turn, begins to exploit religion for its own ends. I believe this phenomenon is occurring across the globe. We must transcend this dynamic and move forward. Therefore, I believe the very objective of this conclave is to rise above religious distinctions—as much as possible—and to bring to the fore the inherent goodness that resides within us. It is by embracing this goodness that we shall advance—together with the world and with the times."
Jaaved Jaaferi’s statements at the Billionaires for Peace Conclave 2026 highlight a strong call for global cooperation, ethical leadership, and emotional intelligence in governance. His remarks resonated widely online, sparking discussions on wealth responsibility, international conflict resolution, and India’s evolving role in global diplomacy.
With celebrities, billionaires, and Nobel laureates sharing one platform, the conclave continues to position itself as a major global dialogue space for peace, responsibility, and collective progress.
