Sonakshi Sinha and Jyotika's Courtroom Thriller 'System' Gets A Premiere Date

Prime Video has officially announced the global premiere date for its upcoming courtroom thriller System, setting May 22, 2026, as the launch day for the much-anticipated original film. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, the movie promises an intense legal drama packed with suspense, emotional conflict, and social commentary. Positioned as a high-stakes thriller, System explores the complicated relationship between power, privilege, and justice in a world where truth often comes at a heavy price.

Produced by Pammi Baweja, Harman Baweja, and Smitha Baliga under the banner of Baweja Studios, System will stream exclusively on Prime Video in Hindi across India and more than 240 countries and territories. The film is already generating strong buzz due to its powerful premise and star-studded cast. With courtroom dramas continuing to attract audiences globally, the project appears set to deliver both gripping entertainment and thought-provoking storytelling.

At the heart of the film are two women from completely different social backgrounds who unexpectedly join hands in pursuit of justice. Sonakshi Sinha plays Neha Rajvansh, a determined public prosecutor navigating a legal system shaped by influence and authority. Alongside her is Jyotika as Sarika Rawat, a courtroom stenographer whose life becomes deeply intertwined with a dangerous battle against hidden truths. Together, they take on powerful forces while uncovering injustices buried beneath layers of privilege and corruption.

The film also features Ashutosh Gowariker in a pivotal role, supported by an ensemble cast including Preeti Agarwal, Adinath Kothare, Aashriya Mishra, Gaurav Pandey, and Sayandeep Gupta. The casting itself hints at a layered and emotionally charged narrative that combines legal tension with strong character-driven storytelling. Industry watchers believe the pairing of Sonakshi Sinha and Jyotika could become one of the film’s biggest strengths, given both actors’ reputation for impactful performances.

What makes System particularly intriguing is its blend of courtroom drama with larger social themes. Rather than focusing solely on legal procedures, the film reportedly examines the moral and ethical dilemmas surrounding justice, ambition, and societal power structures. The creators appear to be aiming for a cinematic experience that is both entertaining and reflective of real-world complexities.

The screenplay has been written by Harman Baweja, Arun Sukumar, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Tasneem Lokhandwala, and Akshat Ghildial, signaling a collaborative storytelling approach designed to balance suspense with emotional depth. With Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari directing the project, audiences can also expect nuanced characters and layered human relationships woven into the thriller format.

As anticipation continues to build, System is shaping up to be one of Prime Video’s major Hindi original releases of the year. Combining legal drama, emotional intensity, and a socially relevant narrative, the film could strike a chord with audiences looking for smart and engaging storytelling beyond conventional thrillers.
