Gandhinagar, April 29 (SocialNews.XYZ) Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Wednesday directed senior officials to prepare a comprehensive list of public grievances from the village level to the state level and formulate an action plan for their swift resolution.
Briefing the media after a Cabinet meeting, government spokesperson and Minister Jitu Vaghani said the instructions have been issued to ensure that citizens’ complaints are systematically compiled and addressed through a structured administrative process.
"The objective is to strengthen grievance redressal mechanisms and improve coordination across government departments for the timely resolution of issues," he noted.
He stated that the directive follows the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s strong performance in the recent local self-government elections in Gujarat.
According to him, the state government views the electoral mandate as a responsibility to further enhance governance and administrative efficiency.
Vaghani said: "During the election period, the Chief Minister, ministers and elected representatives carried out extensive public outreach across the state, during which citizens raised a wide range of local issues, administrative concerns and expectations from the government."
These inputs, he said, are now being formally consolidated for action.
Quoting the Chief Minister’s instructions, Vaghani said, “The Chief Minister has instructed that a detailed list of citizens’ grievances from the village level to the state level be prepared and an action plan be formulated for their immediate resolution.”
He added that senior officials have been tasked with ensuring that all complaints are properly recorded, categorised and addressed within a defined timeframe.
He said the emphasis is on ensuring transparency in administration and efficiency in service delivery at every level.
Vaghani further said, "The government machinery will work under the Chief Minister’s leadership to ensure effective resolution of public grievances, while continuing to focus on development and governance across rural and urban areas of the state."
