Known for his roles in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Anupamaa, and Kundali Bhagya, Rishabh was asked about the growing trend of multiple relationships in today’s social media-driven world. Addressing the topic honestly, he reflected on how modern connectivity has changed the way people approach romance and commitment.
He said, “It certainly seems that way; judging by the way they described it—and this isn't just about partnerships; such things actually happen in real life, too. As for my reaction... well, I don't think that approach is very reassuring. You know how people often say, ‘You have to keep trying until you find the best fit’? I think people have taken that advice far too literally—thinking they need to try out everyone. But personally, I don't believe that is the right way to go about it.”
Expanding on his thoughts, he emphasized the importance of effort and emotional investment in relationships. “I genuinely feel that you should strive to make things work; you ought to put in the effort. Yet, in this day and age, people tend to adopt the mindset of, ‘If this person doesn't work out, someone else will.’ As you mentioned earlier, they might have one relationship going on here, another one there, and yet another somewhere else.”
Rishabh was firm in his stance when discussing commitment and ethics in relationships. “Personally, I do not consider this to be morally correct. I believe you should be with one person—and only one person—at a time, even if you are still exploring your options. After all, being involved with multiple people simultaneously is called cheating—and cheating is never acceptable. I, for one, never condone cheating.”
The actor, who has also gained popularity through reality shows like MTV Roadies and MTV Splitsvilla X4, has often been in the public eye for his candid personality and straightforward opinions.
The event itself celebrated music and storytelling, but Rishabh Jaiswal’s strong views on loyalty and modern relationships quickly became one of the most discussed moments of the evening, sparking conversations about how dating culture is evolving in the age of constant digital connectivity.
