Patna, April 27 (SocialNews.XYZ) LJP (Ram Vilas) MP Arun Bharti on Monday launched a sharp political attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the backdrop of the upcoming second phase of the Assembly elections in the state.
Criticising her stance on the Women’s Reservation Bill, Bharti said it was unfortunate that a woman Chief Minister opposed the legislation and allegedly worked to derail it.
Appealing directly to voters in West Bengal, he urged them to “recognise the truth”, remove Mamata Banerjee from power, and give the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) an opportunity to govern, claiming such a shift would bring positive change to the state.
Bharti also targeted Bihar’s Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, criticising his active campaigning in other states such as West Bengal and Tamil Nadu.
He alleged that Tejashwi Yadav has failed to meet the expectations of the people of Bihar.
On internal political developments, the Jamui Lok Sabha MP welcomed the increasing involvement of Nishant Kumar in the Janata Dal (United), calling it a commendable development.
He said that Nishant Kumar is carrying forward the party’s legacy and added that LJP (Ram Vilas) workers would extend full support to him whenever required.
Addressing speculation around Bihar’s Cabinet expansion, Arun Bharti said the matter lies entirely within the authority of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.
However, he indicated that the expansion is imminent and that portfolios will be assigned soon.
He expressed confidence that the new team would accelerate development and strengthen governance in the state.
Reacting to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s criticism of the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal, Bharti questioned the unity of the Opposition’s INDIA bloc.
He described Opposition parties as opportunistic, stating that leaders who projected unity during the Lok Sabha elections are now at odds with each other at the state level.
According to him, the friction between Rahul Gandhi and Mamata Banerjee reflects deeper ideological divisions and a struggle for political dominance.
