Jess Munsterman works in mountain, luxury, and development real estate across the Colorado foothills. She has built a notable brand as The Colorado Connection, backed by Real, serving families and investors looking for properties along the 285 corridor and surrounding areas. Her approach combines strategic thinking with story-driven marketing, always with a focus on genuine client care.
Jess grounds her work in her faith, believing her life and career are guided by a purpose greater than her own. She is a devoted wife and mother of four, building a life centered around family, legacy, and meaningful connection in the foothills she has called home for over 30 years. In everything she does, she strives to lead with integrity and the desire to make a lasting impact.
Her path into real estate was not conventional. Nearly ten years ago, her divorce was finalized, and in the same 30 days she had been evicted, was working two jobs, and moved herself and her two small boys into a 30-foot camper. She got licensed during that same period and gave herself one year to change her life, removed all safety nets, and seven months later bought their first home. She has never looked back.
"I have been known to be relentlessly resourceful," Jess explained. "In a culture and industry where many have adopted giving up easily, I refuse to allow any market conditions or excuses to inhibit how I show up and serve my community."
In the beginning, her brand was known as Grit and Grace because that is who she is at her core, both personally and professionally. She describes herself as someone who does not accept “no” until every avenue has been explored, or a new one has been created. If there is a solution to be had, she will find it.
Every Property Has a Story
When it comes to selling homes, Jess believes that simply listing a property has never been enough. Especially with unique properties like mountain homes or luxury listings, success depends on how the property is positioned and presented. Her clients often come to her because they recognize that selling a home today requires both strategic marketing, strong representation and resourceful strategy.
"I walk through a property and with every step a story is unfolding," she said. "I can feel a lifestyle lived, someone's dream about to be realized as another releases a life they themselves built within those walls. Every property has a story that deserves to be told." Her marketing brings the property's story to life for the right buyer. Her advocacy carries clients through every contract, contingency, and negotiation whether she’s representing them on either side of the table. Both are non-negotiable.
None of this is built alone. Jess is quick to acknowledge the clients, colleagues, mentors, and friends who believed in her before the results were visible, those who trusted her with their most significant financial decisions, referred her to people they love, and stood beside her through the building. That trust, she says, is not something she takes for granted. It is the foundation everything else is built on.
One client who trusted her to advise on nearly $100 million in residential and commercial real estate transactions and developments wrote that "Jess is a consummate professional who brings energy and intellect to all she does. She sees with the eye of a talented artist." That review, Jess said, captured more than she could have known to express herself, and she believes it to be a great honor to serve clients in this way.
Currently, Jess is part of the development and marketing team for the Conifer Sports Complex at Mountain Mama's, a privately funded indoor sports facility designed to serve the mountain communities along the 285 corridor. The project addresses a major need for youth sports, training space, wellness, and community gathering areas in the foothills, where access to year-round facilities has historically been limited. She also serves on the board of Play to Grow Athletics 501(c)(3), a nonprofit that will facilitate camps and programs for youth through the use of the sports complex. The response from local families and businesses has been incredible, and the team is currently in the final stages of fundraising, community awareness, and County approvals, moving toward breaking ground.
When asked about her biggest achievements, Jess does not point to awards or certifications. She has intentionally chosen to align herself in rooms and ecosystems that value alternative markers such as community impact, presence, volunteer work, ministry, and deep, meaningful relationships.
"At the end of the day, there isn't an accolade in this life that marks any amount of success I'm truly focused on achieving," she said. "My goal is to share my testimony, embolden my family in their faith, impact neighbors' lives for the better, and advance the Kingdom of Heaven."
For Jess, being entrusted with advocating for people and serving through real estate is something she does not take lightly. Her career speaks for itself, and building something meaningful enough to change bloodlines is the greatest achievement she could hope for.
