Akshay Kumar Shares Emotional Tribute To Asrani While Promoting Bhooth Bangla

Akshay Kumar has shared a deeply emotional post along with a behind-the-scenes working still from his upcoming film Bhooth Bangla. The actor’s caption struck a heartfelt tone as he reflected on his long professional association with veteran comedian Asrani, turning the film’s promotion into a moving tribute.

 

Sharing a monochrome still from the shoot, Akshay described cinema as more than just entertainment, calling it a collection of memories and journeys. He revealed that Bhooth Bangla marks one of his final collaborations with Asrani, with the two having worked together in 12 films over the years.

 

He wrote, “Sometimes a picture isn't just a fragment of memories… it captures an entire journey. This picture is from the shoot of our Bhooth Bangla... My second-to-last film with Asrani ji. We did a total of 12 films together, and in every single one, I learned something new from him. It was like a masterclass every single time. Comedy seemed so effortless when he did it, but in reality, it's a difficult art. Asrani ji was its master and will always remain so. Bhooth Bangla releases tomorrow... For me, this isn't just a film, it's a memory… it's a tribute… it's a salute to that legend, Asrani ji, you'll always be remembered.”

 

The film Bhooth Bangla is an upcoming fantasy horror-comedy directed by Priyadarshan, marking another collaboration between him and Akshay Kumar after their successful comedic ventures. The film also features a strong ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, and Wamiqa Gabbi.

 

Set for a theatrical release on April 17, 2026, Bhooth Bangla is already generating attention for blending horror and comedy, a genre Priyadarshan has mastered over the years.
