Riteish Deshmukh Drops Making Video of Raja Shivaji Anthem Chhatrapati Ahead of Grand Release

Actor and filmmaker Riteish Deshmukh has unveiled a powerful making video from his upcoming historical epic Raja Shivaji, giving audiences a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the creation of its much-anticipated anthem Chhatrapati. The video highlights the scale, emotion, and cultural pride driving the project as it moves closer to its theatrical release on May 1, 2026.

Sharing the video, Riteish Deshmukh wrote, “Homage at the feet of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj from Ajay-Atul! The Raja Shivaji anthem ‘Chhatrapati’ releases on 13th April. The making video offers a closer look at the grandeur of the anthem, featuring large-scale sets, choreographed sequences, and a deeply emotional creative process. Raja Shivaji is a historical action drama based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, co-written and directed by Riteish Deshmukh. Produced by Jio Studios and Mumbai Film Company, the film features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, and Vidya Balan among others.
