Peaky Blinders Returns With A New Generation Led By Jamie Bell In Untitled Sequel Series

The iconic Peaky Blinders universe is getting a bold new chapter as Netflix and BBC officially unveiled the untitled sequel series, set a decade after the events of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man. The official social media handle teased, “A new era of Peaky Blinders. Jamie Bell leads the new generation as Duke Shelby, alongside Charlie Heaton, Jessica Brown Findlay, Lashana Lynch and Lucy Karczewski. The Peaky Blinders world is reignited in new series set in the 1950s, ten years on from the events of The Immortal Man.”

 

Starring Jamie Bell as Duke Shelby—the son of Cillian Murphy’s original lead Thomas Shelby—the series promises a darker, more ambitious era for the Shelby family. Duke Shelby was previously portrayed by Barry Keoghan in the recent Netflix sequel film, but Bell will now carry the role into the new series. Joining him is Charlie Heaton, known for Stranger Things and Industry, along with returning faces Jessica Brown Findlay, and new additions Lashana Lynch and Lucy Karczewski.

 

Set in the 1950s, ten years after the original film, the story explores post-World War Two Birmingham—a city ripe with opportunity yet fraught with danger. At its bloody core stands Duke Shelby: older, wiser, more ambitious, and more dangerous than ever. The series will delve into the brutal contest to rebuild the city, portraying a vivid and perilous era where power, loyalty, and legacy collide.

 

Two six-episode seasons are currently filming in Birmingham, produced by Banijay U.K.'s Kudos and Garrison Drama. The series will stream globally on Netflix and be available in the U.K. on BBC iPlayer, promising fans a gripping continuation of the Peaky Blinders saga with a fresh, high-stakes focus on the next generation.
