Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s ‘Vvan’ Locks Raksha Bandhan 2026 Release

The makers of Vvan, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, have officially announced the film’s release date. The much-anticipated film will hit theatres on August 28, 2026, coinciding with the festival of Raksha Bandhan.

The announcement also highlighted that Ekta Kapoor has joined forces with The Viral Fever (TVF) for this ambitious project. Vvan is being described as a folklore-driven thriller, and the collaboration between a major production house and a leading digital content platform has already created strong anticipation among audiences.

According to the makers, Vvan is set in the dense forests of Central India and promises a gripping narrative blending ancient legends, hidden temples, and adventure. The film has been shot in real forest locations, lending authenticity and a visually immersive experience that is expected to elevate its storytelling.

Earlier, a behind-the-scenes image from the sets gave fans a sneak peek into the chemistry between the lead pair. Tamannaah was seen blushing while sitting on a scooter, as Sidharth looked at her affectionately, hinting at a romantic layer within the film’s larger, mysterious narrative.

Directed by Deepak Mishra and Arunabh Kumar, and produced under Balaji Motion Pictures in association with TVF, the film was earlier slated for a May 2026 release before being shifted to a festive window. Meanwhile, Sidharth Malhotra was last seen in Param Sundari alongside Janhvi Kapoor, as he gears up for this intriguing new venture.
