Haryana Police Register FIR Against Badshah Over Controversial Song ‘Tateeree’

Rapper and singer Badshah, whose real name is Aditya Pratik Singh Sisodia, has landed in legal trouble after the Haryana Police registered an FIR against him over his recently released song Tateeree. Authorities have also initiated the process of issuing a Look Out Circular (LOC) to prevent the singer from leaving the country while the investigation is underway.

The case was registered on March 6 at the Cyber Police Station Sector-20 Panchkula, located in Panchkula, Haryana. According to officials, the FIR has been filed under Section 296 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita as well as Sections 3 and 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986. Police have also issued notices demanding the immediate removal of the song’s video from social media platforms.

Authorities claim the music video features minor girls in school uniforms throwing away their school bags and running away from studies, which they believe portrays a negative image of the educational environment. Officials also raised objections to certain words used in the song, including “badshala,” which they say misrepresents schools and contains content considered objectionable and inappropriate towards women and girls.

Meanwhile, multiple police teams have reportedly been conducting raids at possible locations linked to the singer in an effort to locate him. A formal notice has also been issued directing Badshah to appear before the police for questioning. Given concerns that he could leave India, the process to issue a Look Out Circular has been initiated as a precautionary step.

During the investigation, authorities also noted that the music video appears to feature a Haryana Roadways bus from the Jind depot. Officials are currently verifying whether proper permission was obtained from the department to use the bus in the video. If it is found that the vehicle was used without authorization, additional action may be taken against those involved in the production.

Police have already removed the song from its YouTube source and issued notices to other platforms to take down related content. Efforts are also underway to delete reels and short clips associated with the track across social media channels. Officials warned that individuals who continue to create or share objectionable content linked to the song could face strict legal action under applicable laws.
