Directed by International and State Award–winning filmmaker Roopa Iyer, Azad Bharath chronicles the courageous march of the Indian National Army during the 1940s and celebrates the indomitable spirit of the Rani of Jhansi Regiment, the all-women combat unit of the INA. At the heart of the narrative lies the story of Neera Arya, whose quiet yet lethal bravery and unwavering loyalty played a crucial role in protecting Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose during one of the most turbulent periods of India’s independence movement.
