Mehreen Pirzada Slams False Marriage Rumours, Calls Out Misinformation and Paid Journalism

Actor Mehreen Pirzada has finally broken her silence over a long-running marriage rumour, taking to social media to strongly refute false claims about her personal life. In a detailed and emotionally charged post, Mehreen called out the spread of misinformation and criticised sections of digital media for publishing unverified and “paid” articles. She clarified that she is not married to anyone, addressing a report that falsely claimed she had tied the knot with an unknown individual.

Mehreen revealed that the rumour originated from an article published by DNA India, which allegedly cited manipulated information from her Wikipedia page. According to the actor, an unidentified person edited her Wikipedia profile without authorisation, leading to the spread of baseless claims and years of harassment. Expressing her frustration, she stated that she chose to speak up now because remaining silent had only worsened the situation.

Calling out irresponsible journalism, Mehreen openly criticised the publication and the journalist involved, questioning the ethics of reporting without verification. She stressed that public figures are often subjected to sensationalism, with little accountability for the emotional distress caused by false narratives. The actor firmly asserted that she is the most reliable source when it comes to her own life.

Mehreen also urged Wikipedia to implement stricter controls to prevent random edits on public figures’ profiles, highlighting how unchecked information can snowball into widespread misinformation. Her statement has resonated with many fans and industry insiders, who echoed concerns about the growing problem of unverified celebrity news in India’s digital media space.

Professionally, Mehreen Pirzada has built a strong career across Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Punjabi cinema. She made her acting debut with the Telugu film Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha (2016), followed by her Hindi debut in Phillauri (2017) and Tamil debut with Nenjil Thunivirundhal. She is also known for popular Telugu films like Mahanubhavudu, Raja the Great, and F2: Fun and Frustration.

By speaking out, Mehreen has not only set the record straight but also sparked an important conversation about media responsibility, consent, and accuracy. Her message serves as a reminder that behind every headline is a real person—and misinformation comes at a real cost.
