Nyra Banerjee Slams Mumbai Traffic After Late Arrival at Durga Pujo Pandal

Actress Nyra Banerjee arrived in blazing style — literally — at the Indian Bangla Club's Durga Pujo pandal at Andheri, Mumbai, but only after she fought her way through what she described as "the never-ending war zone" of traffic in Mumbai. The actress was late to the revelry, and when questioned regarding the tardiness, she did not mince words.

"Blame the traffic, blame the folks who are maintaining the roads here," Nyra lashed out, clearly annoyed. "The construction has been ongoing for years now — I have no idea what they're even constructing!" Her spontaneous outburst became a biting critique of the infrastructure of the city, one which resonates with the general sentiments of many Mumbaikars. “I think when we all die, they’ll still be making the roads better,” she added, with a mix of sarcasm and exasperation.

In spite of the holdup, Nyra made heads turn. Wearing traditional festive wear (and matching mood), Nyra entered the Durga Pujo festivities with elan. The pandal was abuzz with activity, and after cooling off from the traffic shock, Nyra was spotted hugging fans, taking photographs, and basking in the cultural atmosphere of the night.

 Nyra Banerjee, who began her career in Telugu cinema with Aa Okkadu (2009), has since established a varied portfolio — from Bollywood movies such as Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal and One Night Stand, to central TV roles in Divya Drishti and Pishachini. She's also ventured into digital content (Khakee: The Bengal Chapter) and reality TV (Khatron Ke Khiladi 13, Bigg Boss 18). In 2025, she's been a regular sight at industry gatherings — and quite clearly not shy about voicing opinions.

If anything, her showing up on the pandal was fashionably late — and refreshingly candid. Whether on-screen battling supernatural baddies or navigating real-life city traffic, Nyra Banerjee doesn't remain silent.
