Greenland 2: Migration Trailer Drops a Gritty Post-Apocalyptic Odyssey

Lionsgate has officially released the initial action-packed trailer of Greenland 2: Migration, the spine-chilling sequel to 2020 disaster movie Greenland. Featuring Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin, the movie begins five years after the devastating comet impact that had left human civilization on the brink of extinction. The Garrity family, having sought refuge in the Greenland bunker, now have to venture out and confront a fresh horror: an icy, barren Earth—and a perilous journey through post-apocalyptic Europe in search of refuge.

Directed again by Ric Roman Waugh, Greenland: Migration offers an intense, emotionally charged survival epic. This time around, dangers aren't just celestial—they're human, environmental, and psychological. With civilization broken and trust in short supply, the Garritys—joined by returning cast member Roger Dale Floyd and newcomers Roman Griffin Davis, Amber Rose Revah, and Trond Fausa Aurvåg—move through a world where every step forward might be deadly.

The script, written by Chris Sparling and Mitchell LaFortune, is even more cinematically focused on the human struggle and moral choices of survival. The trailer promises glimpses of breathtaking visual spectacle—frozen landscapes, buried cities, and islands of violence and hope alike—are set against a spookily haunting score. Butler repeats his rough-around-the-edges intensity on screen, playing a father who will do whatever it takes to keep his family safe in a broken world.
