Russell Crowe and Rami Malek Face Off in Haunting New Teaser for Nuremberg

Sony Pictures Classics has dropped a gripping new teaser for Nuremberg, the upcoming historical drama written and directed by James Vanderbilt. With a powerhouse cast led by Russell Crowe, Rami Malek, and Michael Shannon, the film promises a tense, high-stakes courtroom drama set against the aftermath of one of history's darkest chapters — the Holocaust and the fall of the Nazi regime.

Set for a theatrical release on November 7, 2025, Nuremberg revisits the landmark trials that sought justice after World War II. Michael Shannon stars as Robert H. Jackson, the unshakable U.S. Supreme Court Justice and chief prosecutor for the Allies, tasked with holding the Nazi elite accountable for crimes against humanity. At the center of the film’s psychological tension, however, is the volatile relationship between a U.S. Army psychiatrist (played by Rami Malek) and Russell Crowe’s chilling portrayal of Hermann Göring, the notorious former Reichsmarschall.

The teaser sets a haunting tone—tight close-ups, cold interrogation rooms, and somber courtrooms drenched in moral weight. Far from being a standard period drama, Nuremberg leans heavily into psychological warfare. Rami Malek’s character, caught in a mental chess match with Göring, must navigate between seeking truth and maintaining his own sanity. It’s a chilling examination of evil, ideology, and the complexities of justice.

Joining the stellar leads are Leo Woodall, Richard E. Grant, John Slattery, Mark O’Brien, Colin Hanks, Lydia Peckham, and Wrenn Schmidt—each adding depth to the ensemble as key figures from military, legal, and media circles involved in the trials. With Vanderbilt at the helm—best known for scripting Zodiac and The Post—the film appears poised to balance factual gravitas with riveting human drama.

As the world watches democracy constantly tested, Nuremberg arrives as both a reminder and a reckoning. With the promise of powerhouse performances and a director unafraid to ask difficult questions, this film may not just revisit history—it might help us reflect on the future.
