Mega158 Announced: Chiranjeevi, Bobby Kolli, and KVN Productions Unite for “The Bloody Benchmark”

The megastar is back—and this time, he’s bringing the blood, grit, and glory. On the occasion of Chiranjeevi’s birthday, fans were treated to the explosive announcement of Mega158, marking the veteran actor’s 158th film. Reuniting with director Bobby Kolli after their 2023 blockbuster Waltair Veerayya, Chiru is set to headline what’s being teased as a dark, intense action saga produced by KVN Productions.

The concept poster features a blood-soaked axe alongside the chilling tagline: “The Bloody Benchmark,” promising a radical tonal shift from Chiranjeevi’s recent comedic and family-centric films. This bold aesthetic, coupled with Bobby’s flair for massy narratives, hints at a raw, unfiltered action drama that could redefine Chiru’s legacy at age 70.

While Waltair Veerayya earned over ₹200 crore despite polarizing reviews, it proved one thing: Chiranjeevi still commands the box office. With Mega158, the stakes are higher, the tone darker, and the ambition unmistakably pan-Indian.

KVN Productions, rising rapidly in India’s film production landscape, is on fire with a powerhouse lineup—Toxic starring Yash, Jana Nayagan with Vijay, a Priyadarshan thriller in Hindi, and Balan in Malayalam. With Mega158, they’re adding Telugu mass appeal to their pan-India dream slate.
