Taking a nostalgic detour, Shruti recalls her younger days spent twirling in bright lehengas, balancing tiny matkis on her head, and giggling with friends as they lovingly decorated Krishna ji’s jhoola with flowers. “That joy, that innocence—it’s stayed with me,” she says fondly, “and I try to carry it into every celebration.”
What makes this year truly unforgettable for her, though, is how Noyonatra beautifully weaves Krishna’s divine presence into the plot. In a dramatic Janmashtami sequence, her character receives a spiritual clue from Krishna ji warning that Surjo is in danger. “A chariot wheel is about to hit him, and it’s Krishna ji who guides her through,” Shruti shares. “It’s one of the most powerful moments we’ve filmed.”
For Shruti, the essence of Janmashtami is the belief that Krishna is not confined to idols or rituals. “He shows up in those quiet, courageous moments when we choose love, stand up for what’s right, or protect the ones we care about,” she reflects. “Just like He’s there for Noyontara, I believe He’s there for all of us.”
As lights twinkle and bhajans fill the air this Janmashtami, Shruti’s celebration is both personal and profound—rooted in memories, elevated by her show, and shining with the belief that divine guidance is always just a heartbeat away.
