Sharat Saxena on Working with the Cast of Son of Sardaar 2: “Today’s Actors Are So Accomplished, It’s a Pleasure”

Veteran actor Sharat Saxena, known for his towering screen presence and vast repertoire of iconic roles, is all set to tickle funny bones in the upcoming action-comedy Son of Sardaar 2. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film is a spiritual sequel to the 2012 hit Son of Sardaar, and stars Ajay Devgn, Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, and a vibrant ensemble of talented actors.

At a recent media interaction, Sharat Saxena opened up about his experience working with the younger generation of actors and praised their craft and discipline.

“I enjoy working with these people. This generation is different—our generation was different. But it’s good working with them. They’re so accomplished now,” he said, reflecting on how acting styles have evolved over the years.

He continued with trademark humility, adding, “We were all a little amateurish kind of actors, but today’s actors are much more polished. They really hold the art of acting. It’s been a pleasure working with them.” Saxena’s words highlight not only the changing dynamics of cinema but also the mutual respect bridging generations of talent on set.

The veteran actor also shared his excitement about the role he plays in Son of Sardaar 2, calling it a departure from the intense or action-heavy characters he's known for. “They gave me a very nice role—and it’s a comic role, that of a Sardar. So it was good fun!”

With a cast that includes Deepak Dobriyal, Chunky Panday, Neeru Bajwa, Kubbra Sait, Vindu Dara Singh, Ashwini Kalsekar, and others, Son of Sardaar 2 promises to be a grand mix of humor, action, and family-friendly entertainment.
