Trailer Drops For I Wish You All The Best Promises a Heartfelt, Modern Coming-of-Age Story

Lionsgate has unveiled the trailer for I Wish You All The Best, a poignant and refreshingly current coming-of-age film based on Mason Deaver’s bestselling YA novel. Making her directorial debut, 13 Reasons Why star Tommy Dorfman adapts the emotionally rich story for the big screen, capturing the raw, tender highs and lows of discovering who you are in a world that isn’t always ready for you.

The film follows Ben (Corey Fogelmanis), a high school junior who comes out as nonbinary and is subsequently kicked out of their home by unsupportive parents. Forced to leave behind the life they knew, Ben moves in with their estranged older sister, played by Alexandra Daddario, and her husband, portrayed by Cole Sprouse. What begins as an unwanted upheaval soon becomes a quietly powerful journey of healing, thanks in part to the unexpected allies Ben finds at their new school — including an eccentric, art-loving teacher (Lena Dunham) and a sweet, grounded classmate (Miles Gutierrez-Riley) who may be more than just a friend.

With soft lighting, sharp dialogue, and a mix of heartbreak and humor, the trailer teases a story that balances teen angst with resilience. At its heart, I Wish You All The Best is about the complicated, beautiful process of finding belonging—not just in the world, but within yourself. Dorfman’s vision appears intimate and emotionally sincere, a delicate match to Deaver’s deeply personal source material.

Slated to hit theaters on November 7, 2025, this film is shaping up to be a standout in the coming-of-age genre—both for its authentic representation of nonbinary identity and its hopeful, human story about starting over. For anyone who's ever felt like they didn’t fit in, I Wish You All The Best looks like the warm hug we all could use
