Ram Charan Unveils Divyenndu Sharma’s First Look from Peddi on His Birthday

Late last night, superstar Ram Charan took to social media to wish Mirzapur breakout star Divyenndu Sharma a happy birthday—and in doing so, gave fans an unexpected gift: the first look at Divyenndu’s character from the much-anticipated Telugu sports drama Peddi.

Captioning his post, Ram Charan wrote, "Happy Birthday, @divyenndu. Always great to have you around. Have a great year. I wish you nothing but the best."

The post included a striking poster of Divyenndu as Ram Bujji, a fierce, earthy figure captured mid-spin with a cricket ball in hand—grit in his eyes, dust in the air, and rivalry in his veins.

Set in 1980s rural Andhra Pradesh, Peddi tells the story of a high-stakes cricket feud that transcends mere sport, becoming a force for unity in a divided village. It’s a nostalgic yet raw look at the power of local games to stir passion, pride, and reconciliation. Studies, such as one from the Journal of Sports Economics (2019), reinforce the real-world cultural relevance of such stories—highlighting cricket’s enduring role in Indian village life as both entertainment and social glue.

This film also marks Divyenndu’s first Telugu-language role, and his pairing with Ram Charan is already sparking fan anticipation. Known for his razor-sharp dialogue delivery and unpredictable screen presence, Divyenndu’s entry into southern cinema feels like the right kind of crossover at the right time.

Peddi is helmed by Buchi Babu Sana, whose 2021 film Uppena won both hearts and box office acclaim with its rustic authenticity and emotional weight. Backed by Ram Charan’s production house, the project blends grassroots storytelling with pan-Indian appeal—exactly the kind of film that can unite audiences across regions.

As one fan commented under the post: “From Mirzapur to Mandal cricket leagues—Ram Bujji already looks like a cult icon in the making.”

With Divyenndu’s first look now out, and Peddi slated for a 2026 release, all eyes are on this rising bromance between Hindi heartland fire and Telugu star power.
