Imtiaz Ali and Ajay Devgn Return with “Pyaasa,” a Stirring Second Chapter in the Tik Tik Plastic 3.0 Campaign

After the soulful impact of Earthing, filmmaker Imtiaz Ali has dropped the second video in the #TikTikPlastic 3.0 campaign for World Environment Day, titled Pyaasa. Featuring Ajay Devgn, and once again written and directed by Imtiaz himself, Pyaasa is another evocative piece urging audiences to rethink their relationship with plastic — and the planet.

Shared with the caption, “And Pyaasa 🙂 #SayNoToPlastic,” the video unfolds quietly but powerfully. It shows Ajay Devgn on a film set, in between takes, asking for a simple glass of water. What follows is a subtle yet pointed commentary on how deeply plastic has crept into our daily lives — his assistant keeps handing him plastic bottles, pouches, and containers, all of which he refuses. With measured calm and unmistakable gravity, Ajay delivers a profound message: it’s not just human thirst that needs quenching, but the Earth’s, which is drying under the weight of plastic pollution.

Shot with characteristic restraint and emotional nuance, Pyaasa continues the campaign’s mission not to preach, but to inspire. Much like Earthing, this second chapter takes a small, everyday moment and transforms it into something quietly revolutionary. It challenges viewers to reflect — not just on what they consume, but how, and at what cost.

Backed by the BMC, Bhamla Foundation, Trickitainment, and producer Romanchak Arora, the Tik Tik Plastic 3.0 campaign is becoming more than just a PSA series — it’s turning into a mini movement, using storytelling to spark consciousness. And with Ajay Devgn’s real-life persona blending into the message onscreen, Pyaasa lands with even more authenticity.

As we inch closer to World Environment Day, Pyaasa serves as a timely and touching reminder that environmental action often begins in the smallest of choices — even something as ordinary as the glass we choose to drink from.
