Junglee Pictures Makes Malayalam Debut with ‘Ronth’; Teaser Promises a Gritty, Grounded Tale of Night Patrol and Power Play

Marking its entry into Malayalam cinema, Junglee Pictures — the studio behind acclaimed Hindi films like Raazi, Badhaai Ho, and Talvar — has unveiled the teaser of its upcoming Malayalam feature Ronth, a tense, character-driven drama directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Shahi Kabir. The film is slated for release on 13th June 2025, and already, cinephiles are taking notice.

 

Set against the shadows and stillness of the night, Ronth follows two police officers on graveyard shift — Sub Inspector Yohannan (played by the formidable Dileesh Pothan) and his junior, Dinanath (the ever-introspective Roshan Mathew). What seems at first like a routine patrol soon unfurls into a simmering, slow-burn story about duty, hierarchy, and the unspoken friction between experience and youth.
