Prayagraj, Sep 22 (SocialNews.XYZ) A high-tension wire snapped and fell on the garage-cum-godown of Maruti Suzuki in Prayagraj on Friday in which 16 vehicles, said to be around Rs 2 crore, were burnt to ashes.
The incident took place in Andawa in Jhunsi. The CNG cylinders installed in the cars burst causing explosions.
Chief Fire Officer R K Pandey said that seven fire tenders were called in from Phulpur, Soraon Handia, Naini and Civil Lines.
He said, "There were 400 vehicles parked in the garage. It took more than two hours to douse the flames. The company had not taken any NOC from the department. A fine will now be imposed on them."
