India’s environmental reforms & tech advancement speed up forest clearance: Minister

New Delhi, June 27 (SocialNews.XYZ) Union Minister Bhupender Yadav on Tuesday said that over the past nine years, India has focused on wildlife conservation, reforms, legislative changes, and making ambitious commitments towards global climate change. He emphasized India's action-oriented approach and highlighted the significant role played by the Prime Minister in promoting a sustainable lifestyle through the 'Mission Life' initiative worldwide.

Yadav said, "In these nine years, India has worked on air and wildlife conservation, implemented reforms and legislative changes, and demonstrated a commitment towards global climate change. This reflects India's resolution and action-oriented approach. Today, Prime Minister Ji is actively promoting 'Mission Life' to encourage sustainable lifestyles globally."
Regarding the Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Yadav mentioned that the number of members has increased from 1.18 crore to 2.57 crore.
"This indicates a growth in employment in the organized sector since 2014, which is the reason for the increased number of new registrations in the EPFO," he added.
Yadav also highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has presented a significant vision to the world through the 'Mission Life' initiative. On June 5, during the 'World Environment Day,' the 'Meri LiFE Portal' of Mission Life was launched.
"During the Congress era, we witnessed how forest clearances were obtained and illegal taxes were imposed. In the past nine years, there has been a technological upgrade, and an environmental portal has been initiated. Previously, forest clearances used to take 600 days, whereas today it takes only 70 days for forest clearance," he said.
