The film also stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Jackie Shroff, Sunil, Shiva Rajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, Mohan Lal, and Vinayakan in various roles.
The film will hit the screens on August 10, cashing in on the Independence Day weekend. Earlier, it was widely reported that the Nelson Dilipkumar directorial will release on August 11. Now, it seems that the film has been preponed by a day.
Cinematography is handled by Vijay Karthik Kannan, and editing by R. Nirmal. This also marks the first collaboration of Nelson with Rajinikanth.
Apart from Jailer, Rajinikanth is also part of her daughter, Aishwarya Rajinikanth, directorial Lal Salaam, also starring Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant in the lead roles.
