The film titled 'The Test' marks the directorial debut of producer Sashikanth of Y NOT Studios who has bankrolled cult classic hits such as 'Thamizh Padam', 'Irudhi Suttru' , 'Vikram Vedha' and 'Mandela' among others.

The film is currently in production. Meanwhile on the work front, Madhavan is currently shooting for the biopic of G.D. Naidu, a family entertainer directed by Mithran Jawahar.
